technical notes

You may have noticed that this site is fairly simple. Not a lot going on here; minimal layout, stark colour scheme. You're right, and there is a reason for it.

First and foremost, I'm sailing into uncharted waters. The ComicGenesis system is new, so I'd rather keep things simple until I have a handle on how things work and how to correct errors if the site chucks a wobbly. The simpler the site - both with the XHTML and CSS - the easier it is to fix.

Secondly - and most importantly - you're here to read a webcomic, not delve into the inner workings of websites. The simpler the site, the more focus on the webcomic. So enjoy.

Plans are afoot to replace this section with a dedicated links section, where you'll be able to send feedback, read cast summaries and see the process of creating this strip.

ready for launch

This marks the official relaunch of a comic strip that got its start in a small college newspaper. In the past, this was simply a comic about - as I so eloquently put it - "nothing. The point of this comic is that there is no point."

Now, here we are, years later and the strip has aged as well. New design, new format and a new art style are just a few of what will hopefully breathe new life into this decades-old idea.
